Privacy policy
Last updated August 2026. This explains what we collect, why, and who sees it. The short version: nothing you enter leaves PoolSavr unless you ask us to send your project to a contractor.
The short version
- Building an estimate requires no contact information and shares nothing.
- We share your details only when you explicitly request a contractor review.
- When you do, your project goes to one contractor, not to a list.
- We do not sell personal information.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold at any time.
What we collect
When you use the estimator
Your project selections, measurements, material choices and the region you selected. Until you submit a review request, this stays in your browser and in our analytics as aggregate, non-identifying usage data.
When you request a contractor review
Your name, email address, telephone number, property address if you supply it, your desired timeline, any photographs you upload, any notes you write, and the estimate and measurements you built. We also record which page you came from, because knowing which content produces useful projects is how we decide what to write next.
Automatically
Standard web analytics: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring site, and interactions with calls to action. We use this to understand which pages help people, not to build advertising profiles.
How we use it
- To calculate and display your estimate
- To match your project with an appropriate local contractor when you ask us to
- To contact you about a project you submitted
- To improve our pricing assumptions using aggregated, de-identified project data
- To measure which pages produce projects worth a contractor’s time
- To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive submissions
- To meet our legal obligations
Who we share it with
Contractors. When you request a review, the project packet goes to one pool professional. You see the exact list of what is shared before you submit. Contractors are contractually required to use your information only to quote and perform the work you asked about, and not to resell it or add you to marketing lists.
Service providers. Hosting, analytics, email delivery and file storage vendors who process data on our behalf under contract.
Legal. Where required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Your choices
- Use the estimator without providing any contact information at all
- Withdraw a contractor review request — email us and we will notify the contractor the project is closed
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons
- Opt out of any email we send, using the unsubscribe link
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. Emailhello@poolsavr.com with "data request" in the subject line and we will handle it.
Retention and security
We keep project submissions for as long as needed to service the match and to meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or de-identify them. Aggregated pricing data derived from projects is retained indefinitely in a form that does not identify you.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected users and regulators as required if a breach occurs.
Children
PoolSavr is intended for adult homeowners. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes, and will notify you directly if a change materially affects how we handle information you already gave us.
